What is Arthritis?

Arthritis is a condition that causes inflammation, stiffness, and pain in the joints — most commonly affecting the knees, hips, shoulders, and spine. It can make even simple activities like walking, climbing stairs, or getting out of bed difficult. Over time, untreated arthritis can limit mobility and reduce overall quality of life. There are over 100 types of arthritis, but the most common are Osteoarthritis (wear-and-tear of cartilage) and Rheumatoid Arthritis (autoimmune joint inflammation).
